NEWBAND

2D plume IR signature code, using narrow band model incorporating atmospheric slant path correlated treatment and choice of transmissivity schemes.

IR3D

3D plume IR signature code. Molecular line emission considered using narrow band model. Treats multiple radiating objects and obscuration from opaque surfaces. Used to calculate signatures for multi nozzle vehicles with possible obscuration from the missile body and fins. FGE also operates several US codes for plume signature assessments.; FASCOD2 Line-by-line source emission and atmospheric absorption, the LOWTRAN atmosphere absorption codes and HITRAN the line model database used in conjunction with FASCOD2.

RAD/EQUIL

Shock layer heating band and line model. Developed by Aerotherm for NASA, modified by FGE for two temperature flowfield solutions and used for ESA vehicle design assessments.

HERTA/PARADE

Full 2D Monte Carlo non-equilibrium radiation transport code. Developed for planetary entry studies. Loose coupling to TINA provides thermochemical and radiative source exchange.

PARADE developed by FGE as prime contractor for ESA to provide line-by-line emission and absorption modelling in UV-VUV, HERTA developed by IRS (Univ. Stuttgart).
